Lloyd’s Chartered Graduation

On Friday 11th October 2019 Lloyd Walton, Associate Partner and Financial Planner, attended his Graduation Ceremony at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall in the City of London, run by the Personal Finance Society (PFS).

Along with other graduates, he received his certificate on stage to officially mark becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.  The Chartered title is a widely accepted ‘gold standard’ qualification for professional financial planners and financial advisers in the United Kingdom.  It reflects that the individual has gone well above and beyond the standard level of examination required to be an adviser.

To attain the title Lloyd had to pass the six exams required to gain his Diploma, then pass a further four exams at Advanced level and multiple further exams at other levels to ensure he had enough overall points to achieve the required Chartered level.

In doing so he acquired additional specialist qualifications in Long Term Care, Pension Transfers and Discretionary Investment Management.

The ceremony was hosted by Keith Richards, the CEO of the PFS and Adam Owen, the President of the PFS.

Also in attendance to support Lloyd were his wife Emily (who is expecting their first child in December), as well as his Mum and Dad. The learning journey does not stop there for Lloyd as he is currently studying for Equity Release and further qualifications
